A Remarkable Achievement in the 2025 WASSCE

A young boy from Ibadan, Oyo State, has made headlines after achieving an outstanding result in the 2025 West African Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). Uthman Mustapha Olasubomi, a student at Oritamefa Baptist Model School, secured A1 in nine subjects, showcasing his academic excellence. His performance was so impressive that it caught the attention of many online, with his uncle sharing the results on social media.

The boy’s results included Mathematics, English Language, Data Processing, Geography, Further Maths, Chemistry, Physics, Technical Drawing, and Civic Education. His uncle, who posted the results on his X page under the handle @sama_on_point, expressed pride in his nephew’s accomplishments. In the caption, he tagged the X handle of President Bola Tinubu, requesting a $100,000 reward for the boy’s achievement. The post read: “Hello folks. A Story of Resilience and Support

Amah Chiemerie had nearly dropped out of school, but the woman, along with her sisters, paid her school fees amounting to 257,000 Naira. This act of kindness allowed Chiemerie to continue her education and sit for the examination. Her result showed her success in nine subjects, proving that support and determination can make a significant difference.

Mixed Results and Inspirational Journeys
