Innovative Mine Clearance Vehicle Unveiled in Thailand A groundbreaking prototype vehicle designed for mine clearance in complex terrains has been introduced by the Thai government's National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA). This innovative machine is set to enhance national defense operations, particularly in high-risk border areas where landmines pose a significant threat. The unveiling took place when members of Class 67 of the National Defence College of Thailand (NDC) handed over the modified excavator to Lt Gen Sirapop Supawanich, chief of the Royal Thai Army's Engineer Department. The vehicle was developed to neutralize PMN-2 anti-personnel mines, which have long been a danger for soldiers patrolling the Thai-Cambodian border.
