US Sends Two Skytrucks, Promises More Helicopters Soon
Enhancing Nepal’s Capabilities with Advanced Aircraft The United States has recently delivered two new M28 Skytrucks to the Nepali Army, marking a significant step in strengthening bilateral ties and enhancing Nepal's disaster response capabilities. This delivery, part of a $37 million Foreign Military Financing (FMF) grant, adds to the existing fleet of five Skytrucks, which includes two provided by the US in 2019 and one purchased directly by Nepal. This handover highlights the deepening partnership between the two nations, focusing on improving Nepal's resilience, security, and ability to respond to emergencies.
