Overview of Aviation Security Violations Over the past three years, more than 50 cases have been identified where airports or airlines failed to comply with the Aviation Security Act. These violations included inadequate verification of passenger identities and insufficient inspection of items carried by passengers. The lack of proper security measures has raised concerns about the safety and efficiency of airport operations in the country. Data on Fines Imposed According to data provided to Moon Jin-seog, a member of the National Assembly’s Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee from the Democratic Party of Korea, 51 fines were issued for violations of the Aviation Security Act between 2023 and August of this year. The total amount of these fines reached 405 million Korean won.
