Coast General hospital gets state-of-the-art CT scanner in health boost
Coast General Teaching and Referral Hospital has received a major boost with the installation of a state-of-the-art Philips 128-slice CT scan machine, delivered under the National Equipment Services Programme (NESP). The scanner, which is scheduled to begin operations on 15th September, is expected to transform diagnostic and treatment services at the region’s largest referral facility. The Ministry of Health announced the development on Friday, describing the equipment as a “game changer” in the delivery of advanced medical care in the Coast region. Officials noted that the technology would enhance the hospital’s ability to detect and manage cancer, cardiac conditions, traumatic injuries and other life-threatening illnesses with far greater accuracy and speed.
