The ruling came from the Criminal Division 1 of the Chuncheon District Court, presided over by Judge Shim Hyun-geun. The court upheld the original decision, confirming that the individual had misappropriated funds from his common-law wife’s account after her passing. The case involved the withdrawal of tens of millions of Korean won from the bank account of B, with whom the defendant had a common-law marriage.
