Jeju International Airport in South Korea has been recognized as the world's 8th friendliest airport, surpassing Singapore's Jewel Changi Airport according to a recent report by a U.K.-based travel services company. The findings highlight the exceptional service provided by airport staff, which significantly contributes to passenger satisfaction.

The report revealed that 68.6% of passenger reviews mentioning staff at Jeju International Airport described them as friendly and helpful. This places Jeju ahead of Jewel Changi Airport, which ranked 17th with 65.7% of positive reviews. The ranking is based on an analysis of more than 71,000 Google reviews posted between May 20 and late August. These reviews were collected from the world's 100 busiest airports and 23 of the U.K.'s busiest.

To compile the list, the company specifically searched for words that conveyed positive experiences such as "friendly," "polite," "helpful," and "professional." This method ensured that the rankings accurately reflected the quality of service experienced by passengers.

Taiwan's Taoyuan International Airport was named the world's friendliest, followed by Cornwall Airport Newquay in England and Narita International Airport in Japan. These airports stood out for their consistently high levels of customer satisfaction and attentive staff.
