Katsina Gov Names New Leaders for Road Agency and More

Key Appointments in Katsina State

Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, has made several significant appointments to key positions within the state’s critical agencies. These decisions aim to enhance governance and service delivery across various sectors.

Appointment of Abba Junaidu as Chairman of the Katsina State Road Maintenance Agency

Abba Junaidu has been appointed as the Chairman of the Katsina State Road Maintenance Agency. His extensive background includes roles such as Chief Building Officer and Assistant Project Manager at the Ministry of Education. Additionally, he served as Principal Civil Engineer and Chief Resident Engineer at the Ministry of Works. This appointment is expected to bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the agency.

Dr. Babangida Ruma as Director General of the Katsina State Enterprise Development Agency

Governor Radda also appointed Dr. Babangida Ruma as the Director General of the Katsina State Enterprise Development Agency. Dr. Ruma previously served as Technical Assistant to the Governor on Enterprise Development. He is recognized as a technologist, serial entrepreneur, and advocate for youth development. His contributions to using technology for development have earned him recognition from the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education, where he was honored as the “Father of Technology and Innovation.”

Idris Usman Tune as Chairperson of the Civil Service Commission

Idris Usman Tune has been appointed as the chairperson of the Civil Service Commission. He holds a B.Sc in Political Science, PGDPC, and MPPA. Tune served as Head of Service until May 2023 and has worked across various state government agencies. His appointment is anticipated to bring stability and efficiency to the commission.

Composition of the Katsina State Pension Bureau

The governor further constituted the Katsina State Pension Bureau with the following appointments:

  • Ibrahim Boyi Dutsinma as Part-Time Chairman
  • Musa Rabiu Mahuta as Executive Director Finance and Administration
  • Abbati Ibrahim Masanawa as Executive Director Operations
  • Usman Shehu as Executive Director ICT and Database Management
  • Dr. Faruk Aminu as Independent Observer

Representatives of MDAs and unions will also join the board, as outlined in the Katsina State Pension Reform Law 2025.

Katsina State and Local Government Pension Transition Board

For the Katsina State and Local Government Pension Transition Board, the following appointments were made:

  • Hon. Muntari Dan Ammani as Executive Secretary
  • Garba Sanda Mani as Part-Time Chairman
  • Dr. Faruk Aminu as Independent Observer
