Amorepacific Secures 7th Consecutive CES Beauty Tech Award

Amorepacific's Skinsight Wins Innovation Award at CES 2026

Amorepacific, a leading South Korean beauty company, has once again made waves in the tech and beauty industry by winning an innovation award at the world’s largest technology exhibition, CES. This year, the company was honored with the “CES 2026 Beauty Tech Innovation Award” for its self-developed personalized skin analysis system called “Skinsight.” This achievement marks the seventh consecutive year that Amorepacific has received this prestigious award, showcasing its consistent innovation in the field of beauty technology.

What is Skinsight?

Skinsight is a groundbreaking system that combines advanced sensor technology, artificial intelligence, and mobile applications to provide real-time skin analysis. The system consists of three main components: a sensor patch that adheres to the skin, a miniature Bluetooth module, and an AI-powered mobile application. Together, these elements work seamlessly to analyze the causes of skin aging and offer tailored skincare solutions.

The sensor patch is equipped with ultra-precise sensors capable of detecting minute skin movements in micrometer (μm) units. These sensors simultaneously measure four key aging factors: skin tightness, exposure to UV and blue light, temperature, and moisture levels. The data collected by the patch is transmitted in real-time via the Bluetooth module to the mobile application, which uses artificial intelligence to analyze complex aging patterns by synthesizing 24 hours of lifestyle data.

Personalized Skincare Solutions

Through the integration of real-time data and AI-driven insights, Skinsight enables users to identify the specific factors that contribute to their skin aging. Based on this information, the system provides personalized skincare routines and product recommendations that take into account the location and severity of future wrinkles or loss of elasticity.

One of the standout features of Skinsight is its enhanced breathability, which ensures that the patch remains securely attached to the skin even during physical activity or when sweating. Its design also allows it to adhere closely to the skin’s curved surfaces, ensuring stable and long-term operation. This makes it easy for users to track and observe changes in their skin across different environments while maintaining secure access to customized data.

Collaboration with MIT and Academic Recognition

Amorepacific collaborated with a research team from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to develop Skinsight. The joint efforts have led to significant technological advancements, which have been published in internationally recognized academic journals such as “Science” and “Science Advances.” Additionally, the company has secured four patents through PCT international applications and has registered them in multiple countries, including South Korea and the United States.

Future Vision

A representative from Amorepacific shared the company’s vision for the future, stating, “We will strive to predict the causes of skin aging in advance through advanced scientific technology and expand individual beauty.” This statement reflects Amorepacific’s commitment to leveraging cutting-edge science to enhance personalized skincare solutions and redefine the beauty industry.

With the success of Skinsight, Amorepacific continues to set new benchmarks in the intersection of technology and beauty, proving that innovation can significantly impact how individuals understand and care for their skin.
