F1 Mexico GP Qualifying: Time, How to Watch, and More
Max Verstappen Leads FP2 at Mexico Grand Prix, Maintains Pressure on McLaren
Max Verstappen once again proved his dominance in the Formula 1 title race by topping the second practice session at the Mexico Grand Prix. The four-time world champion kept the pressure on the McLaren duo of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris, who are currently in a tight battle for the championship.
Verstappen, driving an upgraded Red Bull, made an immediate impact in FP2. He set the fastest time with a lap of 1 minute 17.392 seconds, which was 0.153 seconds faster than Charles Leclerc of Ferrari. Leclerc had led the first practice session, but Verstappen’s performance in FP2 showed the strength of the Red Bull chassis.

Key Performances in FP2
Andrea Kimi Antonelli of Mercedes finished third in the session, while Lando Norris of McLaren came in fourth. Norris had missed the first practice session to support rookie driver Pato O’Ward, but he still managed to secure a strong position in FP2.
Oscar Piastri, however, struggled in both practice sessions. Despite participating in both, he ended up in 12th place, over 0.840 seconds behind Verstappen’s best time. This result raised questions about his form as the title fight intensifies.
