Harper Grace: Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka's Stunning Teen Daughter at Wicked Premiere

Harper Grace Burtka-Harris Shines at Wicked: For Good Premiere

At the New York premiere of Jon M. Chu's Wicked: For Good, the theme was Emerald City Elegance, and Hollywood's elite made a stunning appearance in line with the dress code. The main cast, including Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, and Jonathan Bailey, all turned heads with their fashion choices. However, one young starlet ultimately captured the spotlight.

Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka’s 15-year-old daughter, Harper Grace Burtka-Harris, dazzled in a sea green sequinned dress alongside her father, Burtka, who opted for a glossy coat. Sharing photos from the event on Instagram, the Broadway star described his “gorgeous date,” adding, “I am so proud of her; she is a dynamic kid.”

A Twin Brother and a Unique Bond

Harper and her fraternal twin brother, Gideon Scott Burtka-Harris, were born via surrogate on October 12, 2010. Their personalities seem to contrast sharply. In an interview with People magazine shortly after their birth, Burtka shared that “Harper has been fussy, but Gideon is the easiest baby in the world.”

The Drag Me to Dinner judge also mentioned on The Wendy Williams Show that Harper shares his extroverted nature, describing her as someone who would say, “Hey everybody, I'm here!” He added that Gideon is “a little more heady and intellectual.”

A Love for Horror Movies and Gaming

Burtka-Harris appears to have a strong interest in horror films, often watching them with her dad, Harris. Surprisingly, she told Harris that she was “mildly disappointed” by The Shining (1980), which the How I Met Your Mother star recommended as the “scariest movie.” Harris took her comment with a grain of salt, noting that the teen slept in his bed for four nights after seeing the film.

He also mentioned in an interview with Daily Pop that Burtka-Harris and the rest of the family enjoy gaming. This shared passion seems to be a bonding activity between the parents and their children.

A Passion for Food

Burtka-Harris seems to have inherited her fathers’ love for food. Speaking to The New Potato, Burtka boasted that his twins have “incredible palates.” According to her chef dad, Burtka-Harris particularly appreciates “briny flavours,” and her favorite foods include “oysters, sardines, prosciutto, capers, duck liver, miso, and anything chocolate.”

Artistic Talents and Red Carpet Appearances

The Burtka-Harrises share a passion for the arts, much like their fathers. Harris recently told People that his son has been acting in school plays, while his daughter is “amazingly talented and artistic.” The twin siblings even had a cameo in their father Harris' Netflix show A Series of Unfortunate Events. They have also been walking red carpets with their dads more frequently. Earlier this year, they attended the opening of Art on Broadway, which stars Harris.

Harper even joined her dads for the premiere of Mariska Hargitay's documentary film My Mom Jayne at the 2025 Tribeca Festival. While it's unclear if Harper will pursue acting, she certainly doesn't seem camera-shy.
