Hyundai Grandeur Makes a Strong Appearance in “Taxi Driver 3”

Hyundai Motor Company has once again made its mark in the world of television with the appearance of its flagship sedan, the Grandeur, in the third season of the popular SBS drama "Taxi Driver 3." The new season has captivated audiences, and the Grandeur plays a central role as the main vehicle driven by the lead character, Kim Do-gi, portrayed by actor Lee Je-hoon.

According to Hyundai, the Grandeur will be featured in the first episode of the series. This strategic placement highlights the brand's commitment to showcasing its vehicles in high-profile media. In addition to the Grandeur, the Staria will serve as the operational vehicle for the enigmatic taxi company Rainbow Transport. Other Hyundai models, such as the Sonata taxi, will also make appearances throughout the drama.

Lee Je-hoon Shares His Excitement

Lee Je-hoon, who portrays Kim Do-gi, expressed his anticipation for the car action scenes filmed using the new vehicle at the production presentation held the previous day. He mentioned, "As the taxi has been upgraded, the car action scenes have also been upgraded."

He added, "While previous taxis had a more classic and unique flavor, this time the performance is exceptional. When you step on the accelerator, it goes straight, making it very convenient to film the car action scenes." Lee also noted that on set, people often referred to the vehicle as the “Dogicar” (the commercial taxi driven by the protagonist Kim Do-gi) or “Dogicha.”

The Story Behind “Taxi Driver”

“Taxi Driver” is a series based on a webtoon of the same name, depicting a private revenge agency where the mysterious taxi company Rainbow Transport and taxi driver Kim Do-gi carry out revenge on behalf of wronged victims. The show has gained a loyal following due to its compelling storyline and unique characters.
