IVE's Jang Won-young Purchases 13.7 Billion Won Villa in Full Cash

Jang Won-young Acquires Luxurious Villa in Hannam-dong

Jang Won-young, a 21-year-old member of the K-pop group IVE, has made headlines by purchasing a high-end villa in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. The property was acquired entirely in cash, according to records from the Supreme Court’s online registry.

The transaction took place on March 31, when Jang purchased a 244㎡ exclusive-area unit at Lucid House in UN Village. The price tag for the property was 13.7 billion Korean won, and the ownership registration was completed on the same day. The absence of any mortgage registration in the official transcript suggests that the purchase was fully paid in cash. The seller of the property was Lee Ji-yong, who previously served as the CEO of Daerim Commerce.

A Prime Location with Exceptional Features

Lucid House is considered one of the most luxurious properties within UN Village. Its initial distribution in 2007 saw sales exceeding 4 billion Korean won. The villa offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Han River and Namsan Mountain, making it a highly desirable location. It consists of only large units—85-pyeong and 94-pyeong types—and has a total of 15 households across two buildings, contributing to its exclusivity.

In addition to its prime location, Lucid House is known for its strong emphasis on privacy. The complex features a 24-hour security system and individual elevators, ensuring a secure and comfortable living environment for its residents.

A History of High-Value Transactions

This particular property has a notable history of high-value transactions. Actress Kim Tae-hee resided there before her marriage. She purchased the villa in 2012 for approximately 4.3 billion Korean won and later sold it in 2018 for 6.4 billion Korean won, realizing a profit of 2 billion Korean won over six years.

Jang Won-young's Rising Career

Jang Won-young, who debuted in 2021 as a member of the group IZ*ONE, is now the center of IVE. Her career has seen rapid growth, with her serving as an advertising model for over 20 brands, including cosmetics, fashion, banking, beverages, shampoo, and pizza.

IVE, the group she belongs to, is currently on its second world tour, titled ‘SHOW WHAT I AM’. The tour spans Asia, Europe, and the Americas, showcasing the group’s global appeal and expanding their fanbase. Jang’s recent acquisition of such a prestigious property highlights not only her financial success but also her growing influence in both the entertainment and real estate industries.
