KATSEYE Makes History with Chart-Topping Success

KATSEYE, the global girl group formed by HYBE and Geffen Records, has once again made waves in the U.S. music scene by achieving a new high on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The group’s hit single “Gabriella,” featured on their second EP Beautiful Chaos, climbed four spots to reach number 33 in the latest chart update.

Despite being released about five months ago, “Gabriella” continues to gain momentum, marking its fourth consecutive week on the chart. The song initially entered the Billboard Hot 100 on July 5th at position 94, showing a steady rise in popularity over time.

In addition to its success on the main Hot 100 chart, “Gabriella” also reached 14th place on the Pop Airplay chart, which measures radio broadcast counts and listener data. This is the highest position the group has achieved on this particular chart, highlighting its growing appeal among U.S. audiences.

The performance of “Gabriella” on the Pop Airplay chart, which evaluates a song’s mass appeal alongside sales and streaming, underscores KATSEYE's strong connection with listeners across the country. Their continued presence on multiple charts reflects the group’s widespread popularity and the effectiveness of their global marketing strategy.

Strong Performance on Album Charts

The second EP Beautiful Chaos, which features “Gabriella,” has also seen impressive results on the Billboard 200 album chart. The EP currently ranks 43rd and has remained on the chart for 19 consecutive weeks since reaching its peak position of 4th on July 12th.

On the Top Album Sales and Top Current Album Sales charts, which track physical album sales, Beautiful Chaos rose one spot each from the previous week, maintaining its presence for 19 weeks straight. These achievements demonstrate the group’s consistent fan support and commercial success.

Global Reach and Longevity of Hits

Beyond the U.S., KATSEYE’s “Gabriella” has also performed well on international charts. The song climbed three spots to reach 20th on the Global 200 and maintained 15th on the Global (Excluding U.S.) chart. It has now stayed in the top ranks for 20 consecutive weeks.

Another track from the Beautiful Chaos EP, “Gnarly,” has also shown remarkable longevity. Despite being released over half a year ago, it remains on the Global 200 at 138th and on the Global (Excluding U.S.) chart at 137th. This highlights the group’s ability to sustain interest in their music over an extended period.

Exciting Developments Ahead

KATSEYE has also made history by being nominated for two categories at the 68th Grammy Awards, scheduled for February 1st next year: “Best New Artist” and “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.” These nominations are a testament to the group’s impact on the music industry and their rising influence as a global act.

As they prepare for the ceremony, KATSEYE will embark on their first solo North American tour, consisting of 16 performances across 13 cities, starting on the 15th. This tour marks a significant milestone in the group’s career and offers fans an opportunity to experience their music live.
