Klim Launches New Motorcycle Armor Compatible With Old Gear

Klim has taken a bold step in the world of motorcycle safety by not only developing a new armor system but also establishing an entirely new laboratory to ensure the protection of riders for years to come. For motorcyclists, gear is more than just clothing—it's a lifeline. Without proper armor, riders are vulnerable, risking serious injury or worse. Armor isn't the ultimate solution, but it plays a crucial role in keeping riders safe and allowing them to enjoy their passion for years.
This is why Klim's new Rogue armor system represents a significant advancement. The company didn’t just improve on existing designs; they reimagined the entire process. To achieve this, Klim created two new departments within the company: a Rapid Prototyping Lab and a Hard Parts Department. These developments show that Klim was aiming for something truly revolutionary. And as it turns out, they succeeded—creating a system that’s not only innovative but also compatible with older gear.

According to Klim, the primary goal of the project was to develop armor that is thinner, lighter, and more breathable while maintaining or exceeding previous impact safety levels. After extensive research and testing, the company found that existing options didn’t meet their standards. As a result, they built their own Rapid Prototyping Lab and expanded their Hard Parts Department. They conducted hundreds of impact tests across various compounds and pad structures, all in pursuit of a better armor system.
The Rogue armor system features 14 new armor pads, divided into three categories: Rogue Level 1, Level 2, and Level 2 EXP. The foundation of this system is its ability to meet or exceed both CE Level 1 and Level 2 standards. While CE certification requires impact absorption tests in ambient and wet conditions, Klim aimed to go further by including optional hot and cold tests as well.
Rogue Level 1 and Level 2 armor not only meet these standards but do so while being lighter and thinner than previous designs. This means increased mobility and better breathability, making the gear more comfortable for long rides. Additionally, the new armor will be included in all new and redesigned Klim outerwear starting next year, and it will be available separately for compatibility with older gear.

Rogue Level 2 stands out with its expanded surface area, covering previously underarmored regions. The armor is asymmetrically designed and molded to optimize impact force absorption, coverage, flexibility, and breathability. This makes it ideal for riders who push their limits, whether on the open road or in the wilderness.
Klim announced that a total of 14 new pads will be released in 2026, integrated into every new and redesigned piece of outerwear. The armor will also be available separately and backwards compatible with prior generations of Klim gear. This marks a major milestone in motorcycle safety and sets a new standard for the industry.
For riders looking for enhanced protection without compromising comfort, the new Rogue armor system is a game-changer. It’s clear that Klim is committed to pushing the boundaries of what motorcycle gear can achieve. Whether you're riding through the forest or navigating city streets, the new Rogue armor is ready to keep you safe and comfortable.
