Prince Indah Speaks Out After Bouncer Allegedly Assaults Artist Emmanuel Musundi

Ohangla Musician Prince Indah Addresses Allegations of Bouncers Attacking Fellow Artist

Prince Indah, a renowned Ohangla musician, has recently addressed claims that his bouncers were involved in an altercation with fellow musician Emmanuel Musindi. The incident reportedly occurred during the ODM@20 celebrations in Mombasa, where Musindi was rushed to the hospital after sustaining head injuries.

The Lero ni Lero hitmaker was allegedly attacked at Mama Nginga Waterfront, sparking widespread concern among Kenyans. Many have expressed sympathy for Musindi and called on authorities to investigate the matter thoroughly.

Claims Against Prince Indah’s Bouncers

A post by Philip Etale, which has since been deleted, accused Prince Indah’s bouncers of assaulting Musindi during the event. According to Etale, the attack happened when Musindi attempted to approach Indah to greet him as a colleague in the music industry.

Etale shared the following message:

"Dear Prince Indah, you are a good man, going by what I hear about you from your fans. I often dance to your music. You are popular, and this is a fact. However, the behaviour of your bouncers on Saturday during the celebrations at Mama Ngina Waterfront is a matter of concern. It has been reported to me that your bouncers/security assaulted another popular artist, Emmanuel Musindi of the Lero ni Lero hit song moments after he had performed at the event. His crime was trying to get to where you were to greet you as a colleague in the industry."

He added that Musindi was beaten badly and had been hospitalized in Kakamega after bleeding profusely. Etale also mentioned that the musician had previously undergone surgery for head injuries, making the current incident even more alarming.

Prince Indah’s Response

In response to these allegations, Prince Indah broke his silence and addressed the claims directly. He began by emphasizing the importance of respecting fellow artists in the industry.

"I hold immense respect and utmost veneration towards my brother, my fellow artiste, and particularly for his experience in the industry. An attack on an artist is not only on the individual but also on the entire industry; subsequently must be dealt with accordingly," he stated.

Indah denied the allegations that his bouncers were involved in the attack. He claimed that he did not travel to the event with his security team due to logistical constraints.

"At the celebration, due to logistical reasons and constraints of time, I did not travel to the event with any of my security teams. Consequently, the allegation of involvement of any of my security team in such an attack is not only baseless but also not factual. I therefore request an immediate investigation to confirm the veracity of such allegations. An attack on every individual is a crime, a such should be investigated and the perpetrators brought to book."

Commitment to Cooperation

Prince Indah expressed his willingness to cooperate with authorities to resolve the matter. He assured that his security team would also comply with any investigative procedures.

"I am willing and ready to assist and comply with any investigative processes as far as the indicated attack is concerned. My security team is also available to abide by any investigative procedures. I would like to wish my brother a quick recovery as I beseech relevant authorities to take immediate action in bringing to book the perpetrators of this heinous act. Thank you," he concluded.

Calls for Justice

As the situation unfolds, many Kenyans are calling for a thorough investigation into the incident. The music community remains divided, with some supporting Indah’s denial while others demand accountability for the alleged assault.

With the ongoing debate, it is clear that the incident has sparked a broader conversation about the responsibilities of artists and their teams in maintaining a respectful and safe environment within the industry.
