2027 Chevy Bolt Configurator Launches – A Major EV Deal

The 2027 Chevrolet Bolt is set to begin shipping early next year, with the most expensive configuration adding $3,255 to the base price. The new model can now be customized through the automaker’s website, allowing customers to explore all available options and pricing details for each additional feature.
The base model, the Bolt LT, starts at $28,995, including destination charges. It comes standard with 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic high beams, and an 11.3-inch infotainment screen. The online configurator has been launched, giving buyers a clear view of what they can expect from the vehicle.
It's important to note that this is not a Porsche, where endless optional packages and minute cost details are available. Instead, the new Bolt, much like its predecessor, is designed for the average consumer. This means the online configurator offers limited customization options, focusing on practical features rather than extensive personalization.

There are only two trims available: the LT and RS. Both models come equipped with a 210-horsepower front-mounted electric motor and a 65-kilowatt-hour LFP battery, providing a 255-mile range rating. Additionally, both trims support fast-charging at up to 150 kilowatts via a new Tesla-style NACS charge port, which is a significant improvement over the previous version of the Bolt EV.
Production of the 2027 Bolt started last month at General Motors’ Fairfax plant in Kansas. The first units will have an MSRP of $29,990 (including destination). These units include the Comfort Package, which features an eight-way power driver seat, heated seats for the driver and front passenger, an auto-dimming inside rearview mirror, and a heated and wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel. The base model priced at $28,995 and the more expensive RS version at $32,995 will follow later.
One of the priciest options is the Super Cruise Package, which costs $3,255 and enables hands-free driving on select highways in North America. The dual-panel panoramic power sunroof, available exclusively on the RS trim, is priced at $1,495. A three-year SiriusXM subscription adds another $299.
Other optional features include an illuminated charge port for $450 and a cargo cover for $195. With all these options selected, a fully loaded Chevy Bolt could reach approximately $43,000. Removing the Super Cruise package could bring the price below $40,000, provided a Level 2 charger is not required.
However, it's unlikely that many buyers will opt for all these features. At that price point, alternatives such as the larger Chevy Equinox EV or Blazer EV, as well as the Nissan Leaf, may be more appealing. The Bolt’s strength lies in its affordability, particularly in the low-$30,000 range, making it a strong candidate for an everyday vehicle.
